An experimental short film about attention and disconnection. A seven-second critique of modern attention.
Visto is an experimental short film created for the fifth edition of 7SIFF, the International Seven Second Film Festival, where it was officially selected and screened at the Multiplex theater in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Written, directed and produced by me as a creative challenge, Visto explores how much can be communicated within a seven-second film. Yes, seven-second film. Visto reflects on behavior in today’s society and our growing disconnection from reality, observing how life unfolds before our eyes while our attention remains on our mobile phone screens. The idea arose from conversations with friends where we found ourselves giving more importance to what happens on a screen than to what happens right in front of us. The film seeks to question how technology connects us and, at the same time, separates us from all.
