Branding for a live music experience built on connection
Music with Strangers is a live music experience built on a simple premise: everyone is a stranger, but music creates connection. Inspired by formats like Tiny Desk, the project brings DJs and live performances into the apartments of strangers, transforming private spaces into shared cultural moments.
Developed as a complete brand system and launch campaign, the identity is centered around the ear as its core symbol, a universal yet deeply individual form. This idea informs the typography, illustrations and overall graphic language, expressing diversity, curiosity and connection through a cohesive visual system.
The launch campaign extended this concept into the city through simple, provocative gestures inspired by contemporary art. Posters featuring ears were taped onto walls throughout the city, referencing Maurizio Cattelan’s Comedian, a banal object turned into a cultural trigger through context, placement and repetition. Similarly, the ear becomes a minimal yet loaded symbol: something ordinary, made visible, that interrupts the urban landscape and invites interpretation, curiosity and participation.
Music with Strangers promotes listening as a shared act: a space where strangers meet, connect, and become part of the same sound.
